The year in pictures

A day-before-New Year's Eve-idea, a consequence-fraught resolution.

The project starts evenly in a Day-before-Sylvester-idea.
1998 I had painted only few pictures, sometimes I had painted one lasting for weeks and had many not finished pictures placed away. I had the feeling that the time expired, without I also only a piece of it could collect.
Was it what other painter call work crisis, or lacked I simply discipline, since no teacher drives me and I let float myself?
"From now on each day!" - I decided now: "I wanted to do that, what a painter does: ;paint".
To collect the time - a times collector!
But only in the new year! Nevertheless a "good intention" was for the new year!

On New Year´s Day in the morning I looked naturally panic-struggling for one million arguments,
which could speak against it or for it :
The quality would suffer from the quantity!
Inflation, number of pictures, purely calculate! What so ever gives to paint each day?
How is someone to take you seriously, if you do not do it to yourself?
I could pursue a study, how moon´s influence in the signs of the zodiac affects artist´s mind! (I never strove for astrological knowledge, but perhaps it is informative)
These are some of my arguments pro and contra.
My fixed idea continued: Of because of inflation! In the next year at the Sylvester day, I would burn them all and would make a film of it!
Not the pictures, the film would be art! , he should be called "The last of thousands"!
Give collected time to the fire. As a Phoenix, which rises from ash.

But first to paint a picture each day!

Since 01.01.1999 I painted each day a picture.
And let it be said on New Year´s Eve: Through the multiple letters of friends and lovers of the day picture art, I was discouraged from the intent, to let climb that Phoenix from the ash. At this place, there will be soon, a Flash-film, which shows a trip through the world of the day - picture - project.

My idea fixé has survived today
Meanwhile it became the mania -
My friends and business contacts suffer.
Because help! - who knows advice? -
At the horizon a new day rise...

I would like to present a small extract from my day picture project here. Perhaps it will continue until I use up all my paint, or.....?

I considered it differently. Should I choose the first of the moth, or the last?

Or a day in the middle?

Now the point in time came to the interaction. Now you are requested as visitor to call me a date within the period and I will present the pictures after these resultant, "coincidental" samples.

Although the world did not celebrate it, the actual turn of the millennium took place at the 1.Januar of the year 2001. After the calendar we close with the year 2000 the in-thousandth year of the second millennium. The first year of the third millennium began thus in the year 2001. The last of thousand, 1999 emerged as next to last of thousand, and the millennium change is 2001 carried out. Thus from "The last one of thousand", "Thousand - Art, ars, artifex", became. The astute viewer an explanation will not remain hidden. Welcome in the 3. millennium!
