Steelart, steel sculpture "The Dragon Killer" Sketch design for an art work on the occasion of the recast of the place before council offices St.Georgen by Obernberg (Austria)..
Daniel Frese Project Award 2011
Preamble / postulate
Eureka! Approach to demanding supplies. (Type of approach to a problem to be solved to REQUIRED offers.)
Among the explanations of the concepts: demanding supplies and
exceptional economy, the artist embarks first on a verbal journey to
decipher for themselves these definitions. Economy, large house, concerning the budget; Latin exceptionally extraordinary, exceptional. Demand Supply in an unusual house? Then what is art and what makes an artist?
(To avoid gender confusion, we want to talk at this point only by artists, which includes all genders.)
Be an artist in today's world, means many professions to unite in one person.
Producers, managers, agents, initiator, financial accountants,
manufacturers, workers, employee, boss, advertising consultants,
marketing researcher, navigator, business consultant, lawyer, inspector,
key account manager, creative director, analyst, Meta-optimizer Content
finder, market researchers, programmers. In all this he is still open-minded, interesting, outgoing, helpful, inspirational and a good-looking, his droll hominid.
Whether the artist is a pure altruist or egoist now comes only on the viewing angle. If we call him at this point as altruistic egoists.
Each artist has done throughout his life with exceptional economy.
But he sold life time of self-produced brands, which until the actual
sale or grant of rights represented by imaginary profit margins. Economy of means but also to produce as few resources as possible from as much as possible.
Whether it is in the production of contemporary art around the market or planned economy is, however, derives from the demand.
The theme: Demand Supply provides the artist with those same mountain,
before the just confessed that legendary Sisyphus has to in the
neverending struggle constantly to roll the same rock up the mountain
and then to look at how this is the effort is opposed and contrary to
all logic, to take the predetermined path.
Unlike Sisyphus, who broke the power of death - at least for a while -
the artist wants to achieve immortality through his work.
In his creativity, the artist is an altruist, egoist in his thinking. As long as he is creative, it inspires a spiritual elevation. During breaks, he is a man.
Demand Supply. Sounds like the riddle of the Sphinx, whose existence passing travelers like Oedipus gave up a mystery. Eureka!
A mountain! Demand Supply! Implies that demand exceeds supply or acts of the puzzle solution the other way around?
The absurdity of the situation corresponds to an essay by Albert Camus, the myth of Sisyphus. The absurdity of the world and the human longing for meaning.
For Camus, see the tackling and overcoming life's work to obtain the freedom of consciousness in the foreground.
So we are back to the artist. Has he now has access to the words of the concepts: demand, supply, exceptional, economics, obtained?
Do these, he is still detained in the market economy, where only facts are, what, when, how and for whom is produced.
He has now recovered his consciousness?
We call once more: Eureka! and will introduce our concept developed for inquiring offers.
Conception
Discipline: Sculpture - Installation
Preparation: (Please see also Modellablichtung photo: "opposite".)
Two hollow steel body can be inflated by air pressure modeling and then crumpled to negative pressure / vacuum.
They should be a huge mountain range with steep chasm in between.
On the rock formation is one of the opponents instead of strength in
the form of a tug of war, which is represented by welded bolts male and a
ripping steel cable.
For the viewer, is spliced ??by the steel rope can clearly be seen that
the ordeal is nearing an end, which is also visible on both sides by
the bolts falling males.
The hollow steel body plastic universal symbolized by the two competing
parties that are located across the abyss into a showdown, the state of
an ordeal. The balance of exceptional - economics.
Is taken to the poetic justice no consideration by reason, or even threatened one of the two opponents of the crash.
The hollow steel body plastic universal symbolism should be used
because of their ambivalence and a digital video projector for
projection are freely exchanged in the corresponding contrasts.

Sketch "progress" An abstract steel race horse dashing him floating in front of a gear after, ridden by a discus thrower in skeletal form, the gear of his flings himself to the gears of progress intervene. Symbolism for the reckless technocratic progress. Already at the 1992 TUN environmental fair, Lüneburg, we presented on this subject the installation: progress.
