The octagons (oktaeder, octahedron) are a result from reflection experiments with different made steel bodies.
We wanted a voluminous, at the same time not cumbersomely body, which on the point standing, a fragility in the balance reveal and itself as kinetic [gr.kinétikós "the movement concerning"] light sculpture for our slide machine projection and installation applicable is.
That sounds itself naturally tremendously complicated, because more simply said: We built a rotary steel body, which reflects manifold the applied light.
We call the form processed by us: Oktaeder, or as once from the public calls:

"Rotary diamond"
If the octagon is by its motor set in oscillation, then the eye of the viewer is deceived by the reflection effect and the steel sculpture resembles a lighting, fluctuating crystal, which project by the roughness heights holographic samples, or from an own, internal light, to light seems.
On open air - music festivals we are often achieved an almost magic spatial effect by the fact, that we positioned four small octagons in six to seven meters height
(usually on the enormous loudspeakers) of light illuminated, around the dance area and the fifth octagon, which a multiple larger than the others is and
additionally stand on a socket, as center of the whole happening aligned.
The large octagon carries in its inside its own light,
which rotates against the direction of rotation of the body and by a light
column series its bright light by a fluctuating light line into the environment
irradiate.
The light cone of the large octagon is shining some dozen meters
far.
In the darkness, if the octagon unfold then their whole
beauty, weaved already from hundreds of meters distance, the festival area like
a mysterious place with an almost mystic character.
Also in our
light-picture performances with the "slide machine; diamachine-projection" we often use the octagons,
in order to achieve a complex scenery.
