WERA  high-grade steel art project of  Daimler Chrysler Building

WERA exhibition stand Cologne Steel art, steel sculpture high-grade steel art project.
First raw design sketch, order work 12.2007.

• For the illustration of the external rust problem at high-grade steel screw joints, we developed the idea, this, through direct comparison of  

          a pair two-dimensional pictures  to  illustrate. (Away leaned against a so-called diorama). The pictures are supposed to be used on the Wera exhibition stand.

• The objects, planned in the measurements per 150 cm of W x 250 cm H, should in the presentment a identical figurative representations of the Manhattan skyline,

          containing a predominant motive of the Chrysler Building. Material: High-grade steel (V2A, V4A). On the total area should in two levels, around through indirect illumination,

• To achieve depth effect, enigmatic, about 2-5 cm in the distance to the base, to be represented the skyline and on distance of about 10 cm,

          also for the obtaining of a depth effect through light, the predominant figure of the Chrysler Building. (light emitting diodes, fluorescent material)

• All motives are supposed to be unscrewed by means of various screws. One of the objects, that with traditional tool is screwed,

          is supposed to isolate by means of a spray machine salt waters about the picture work in order to obtain an acceleration of the rusting through that. (The "bad" picture).

          Near the second object (the "good" picture) the predominant motive of the Chrysler Building is supposed to consist of several fragments, puzzle-like, around during the fair

          again and again put together, and/or disassembled be able to become. For this action the fairgoer is welcome, otherwise becomes the artists "working" on that.

• It are supposed to be used, through the various screws, if possible many different tools. The objects should stable and self-contained constructed become.

• Additional a safeguarding suspension for the picture works is designated from the cover of the exhibition hall. To the further preparation and realization of the project are:

• - Rough drafts, construction plan - Static calculations - weight calculations - cost estimate (External cuts, laser cut)
